All claims were verified at the time of testing. However, as the mobile landscape changes quickly and new phone models are released on a continuous basis, we cannot guarantee that all claims are still valid as you read this. The longest battery life for offline music

    • From 26th November to 6th December Strategy Analytics made a technical assessment of the battery performance of Sony’s Xperia™ E1 smartphone compared with three leading competitor devices (Samsung Galaxy Fame, Samsung Galaxy Young and LG Optimus L5).
    • Battery performance was benchmarked in an ‘Offline Music’ scenario. This involved playing an identical playlist of 12 songs continuously on all devices while in airplane mode and monitoring the battery level at set intervals.
    • Where supported, battery saver or stamina mode was enabled for all devices. Using a luminance meter, the display brightness was set to approximately 200 Nits on each device. Sound volumes were set to maximum. Other than this, default settings were maintained for all devices.
    • SA measured the time taken for each device to fail through battery exhaustion. Testing was conducted twice and the average time taken to charge/discharge the battery is reported in these results.

The best range of music features

The Sony Xperia™ E1 features 24 enhanced music features, compared to 11 features each from the Samsung Galaxy Fame, Samsung Galaxy Young, and LG Optimus L5.
