New or changed features

Some features will change when upgrading to Android™ 2.3.

New or changed features from Android™ 2.1 to 2.3:

  • Get an overview of all the widgets on your Home screen.
  • A new application screen layout.
  • Share your phone’s data connection using a USB cable.
  • Share your phone’s data connection as a portable Wi-Fi® hotspot.
  • Mediascape is replaced by the media experience widgets and music player.
  • The Sony Ericsson Backup and Restore application is not supported in Android 2.3, and will therefore be lost.
  • Support for bi-directional languages is reduced, compared to the latest version of Android 2.1 of the Xperia™ X10.
