Send or receive messages

To create and send an SMS:

1. From the Home screen, find and tap Messaging.
2. Tap New message.
3. Tap the Write message text field to enter your message.
4. To change keyboard, touch and hold the text bar then tap Input Method and select an option.
5. To insert a smiley, touch and hold the Insert smiley icon.
6. Tap Add recipient and select a contact from your Contacts or tap the Enter name or no. text field to enter a phone number or name of a contact.
7. When done, tap Send.

Tip: While writing an SMS, you can select to convert the SMS into an MMS. Press the Menu key and select Add subject or Attach to attach a file such as pictures or audio. To convert back to SMS, press the Menu key and tap Change to SMS.

Note: A checkmark at the upper right corner of the message box indicates that the message has been sent correctly.
