Fully charge the battery for a secure update
The phone battery needs to be fully charged to ensure that the phone will not power down during update. Let the phone charge for approximately 2.5 hours in order to fully charge the battery.
Note: Always use a Sony Ericsson charger when charging your phone. Other brands may cause errors in the phone. The warranty does not cover product failures caused by the use of other brands.
