How do I take 3D photos?

The 3D camera helps you take wide-angle, panoramic photos that capture more of the scene and add depth to the subject. 3D Sweep Panorama photos can be played back on a TV that supports 3D. In Sweep Multi Angle mode, the camera takes several images at different angles as you sweep across the scene. When you tilt the camera during playback, the camera sensor detects motion and displays the image in a 3D-like view on the camera screen.

To open the camera

• When the screen is active, press and hold down the camera key.

To take a photo in 3D Sweep Panorama mode

1. Activate the camera.
2. Tap the icon on the top left of the screen, then select 3D Sweep Panorama if it is not already selected.
3. Press the camera key halfway down to lock the focus.
4. Press the camera key fully down, then pan the camera from left to right in a steady horizontal movement.

To take a photo in a Sweep Multi Angle mode

1. Activate the camera.
2. Tap the icon on the top left of the screen, then select Sweep Multi Angle.
3. Press the camera key halfway down to lock the focus.
4. Press the camera key fully down, then pan the camera from left to right in a steady horizontal movement.

To view your photos

1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Album > Pictures.
3. Tap the Sort icon on the top right of the screen.
4. Tap All pictures. All photos taken with your phone camera are displayed in a chronologically ordered grid.
5. Tap a photo to view it.
6. Tap the screen to display the toolbars. If the photo is a 3D or Sweep Multi Angle photo, the 3D icon appears on the bottom right of the screen.
7. Flick left to view the next photo. Flick right to view the previous photo.

Tip: If the screen orientation does not change automatically when you turn the phone sideways, mark the Auto-rotate screen checkbox under Settings > Display.

To play a 3D photo

1. When viewing your photos in Album, tap the 3D icon to open a 3D photo.
2. Tap the Play icon. If no controls are displayed, tap the screen.

Note: You can only play 3D photos that have been captured in the standard panorama image size.

To play a Sweep Multi Angle photo

• When viewing your photos in Album, tap the 3D icon to open a Sweep Multi Angle photo, then tilt the phone right or left to view the photo from different angles.
