Why update?

A software update is the best way to keep your phone working smoothly. And better yet: our software updates bring you improvements too. New features, better performance and speed, bug fixes … so make sure your phone runs on the latest software version.

How to update

There are different ways to update your phone software. These are the options available:

• Over the air. Download the update straight to your phone. Note that this option is operator-dependant – not all operators offer over the air updates.
• Use a cable to connect your phone to a computer. Then update with one of our computer applications.

Note that every update method and computer application may not be optimal for your phone model. To check what is best for you, select your phone in the drop-down to the right.

When to update

On Android phones, an icon in the notification bar indicates that new software is available. Note that the notification function is not offered by all operators. However, you can also connect your phone to a computer and use one of our computer applications to check for updates.

Note that software updates are released at different times depending on operator and country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your phone.
