Best smartphone technology in its class*

Sony Xperia™ M2: Best smartphone technology in its class

Key specifications of Xperia™ M2 were compared against all other 4G smartphones with a global average launch price up to 220 €. Smartphone specifications were split into the following 6 domains:
i. Physical Characteristics (Dimensions, Weight, etc.)
ii. Display Specifications (Resolution, PPI, display size etc.)
iii. Camera (Main camera resolution)
iv. Memory (Embedded NAND Flash and RAM)
v. Battery (Capacity, talk time etc.)
vi. System (Processor clock speed, number of CPU cores)

In order to achieve a “best technology” claim Xperia™ M2 hardware specifications had to be higher (better than the competition) or equal to the best device within the particular specification domain. Strategy Analytics determined that the Xperia™ M2 achieved best or equal-best in 4 out of the 6 domains making it the best smartphone overall against the competitive set. The next best device, with 3 wins out of 6, was the LG LU6200.
