How can I see if the Android 2.1 software is available for my phone?

There are several methods for finding available upgrades for your phone. Availability depends on your operator and/or your location. When the upgrade is available you will receive a notification in your phone. The exact date of availability will vary depending on your operator and/or market.

Other methods to see whether there is new software available.

Via User Support application in device:

1. From the Home screen, find and tap User support.
2. Tap Support.
3. Scroll through the list and tap Software update.
4. Make sure Auto search is enabled.

Via PC Companion on your PC:

1. Connect the USB cable to your computer and then to the phone.
2. Wait for the phone to connect to the computer, and to automatically open PC companion.
3. When your phone is connected, you will be notified about available updates within 5 minutes.
