Set phone and writing language

There are two kinds of language settings in your phone: Phone Language for the menus and Writing Language for entering text. You can choose different languages for the two.

To set the phone language:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Select language.
3. Select an option.

To set the writing language:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Default input > Writing languages.
3. Select an option.

Note: The chosen phone language is also the writing language, if a specific writing language is not selected.
