You update applications that you have downloaded from Google Play™ using the notifications that you receive in the Notification panel, and you manage Android™ system updates using the Update center application. The Update center application also provides updates for some applications.
Before you update the system, make sure that you back up and save all data stored on your phone. Also make sure that you have a working Internet connection using a mobile network or Wi-Fi®.
Use the Update centre application to update your phone wirelessly. You can download software updates manually, or you can allow Update service to update your phone automatically whenever downloads become available. When the automatic update feature is activated, a notification appears in the status bar every time an update becomes available.
