Unstable connection to home Wi-Fi®

If the connection to your home Wi-Fi® network is unstable, try the following:

  • Check the Wi-Fi® signal strength in the status bar. If low or no signal, move closer to the Wi-Fi® access point.
  • Restart the Wi-Fi® access point connection. The access point is the device that provides the Wi-Fi® network.
  • Disable and then enable Wi-Fi® on the phone.
  • Disconnect and then reconnect to the Wi-Fi® network.
  • Update the access point to the latest firmware. See the user guide for the device.
  • Change the Wi-Fi® network security to a different security encryption.
