Back up your phone contents

When you perform a software update with Update Service and choose Update in the installation wizard, you don’t need to back up anything. The phone content is not affected by the update. But if you choose Update + Reset in the installation wizard in Update Service, you will have to back up the content you wish to save.

To back up your files (for example, pictures, music or ringtones) to a memory card:

  1. Select Menu > Organiser > File mgr > Backup.
  2. Highlight and tap Backup contents and select one or more options, tap OK when done.
  3. Highlight and tap Repeat backup and select an option, tap OK when done.
  4. Tap Options > Back up now.

To restore your phone after a backup:

  1. Select Menu > Organiser > File mgr > Backup.
  2. Tap Options > Restore.
  3. Highlight and tap to select an option, then tap OK.
