Use Media server

To set up a DLNA media server connection:

  1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity.
  2. Select Wi-Fi > Turn on.
  3. Your phone starts to search for networks. The available networks will be displayed in a list. Highlight your preferred network and select Connect.
  4. If the network is protected you must enter a passphrase for the network. Enter the passphrase and select OK.
  5. Select Back > Content sharing.
  6. Select a favourite network from the list.
  7. Select On > Save.

Note: Phone name changes and media content updates are not reflected on client devices while the media server is running. In order to reflect such changes on client devices, stop and restart the media server.

To use the Media server application:

  1. Activate the client software installed on your computer.
  2. If you also have client devices, such as PLAYSTATION®3, turn on the client devices within your wireless network.
  3. Set your phone as a media server. After searching the network, the client devices will find your phone and show all possible servers in your wireless network.
  4. Select your Sony Ericsson phone as the server.
  5. Transfer your phone content to client devices. It may take a couple of minutes to show all the content on the client devices if many photo or music files are saved on the phone.
