Use Google Maps™

Use Google Maps™ to track your current location, view real-time traffic situations, and receive detailed directions to your destination for travel by foot, public transportation, or car.

To use Google Maps™:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
  2. Find and tap Maps.
  3. If no location sources are enabled, tap Settings and select an option, then press the Back key.
    • To quick search the map, tap the search text field and enter your search string. Places that match your text string are shown in a drop-downlist.
    • To get quick access to places or layers, tap the icons to the top right.
    • To access more options, press the Menu key.
    • To zoom, tap the zoom – or + in the bottom right to zoom in or out. Or touch an area on the screen with two fingers at once, and pinch them together to zoom out, or spread the two fingers apart to zoom in.

Note: The Google Maps™ application may not be available in every market, country, or region.

Tip: When you view a map, you make an Internet connection, and data is transferred to your phone. Before taking trips, you can download and save maps to your memory card to avoid high roaming costs.
