Set ringtones and sounds

To set a phone ringtone:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Sound & display / Sound > Phone ringtone.
3. Select a ringtone, then select OK / Done.

To set the phone to silent and vibrate mode:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Sound & display / Sound.
3. Mark the Silent mode checkbox.
4. Mark the Phone vibrate checkbox, or select Vibrate and choose an option.

Tip: You can also mute the phone ringtone using the Volume down key.

To select a notification ringtone:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Sound & display / Sound > Notification ringtone.
3. Select a ringtone and tap OK / Done.

To use a music track as a ringtone (Android™ 2.1):

1. In the music player, when playing a track, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Set as ringtone.

To use a music track as a ringtone (Android™ 2.3):

1. In the music player, touch and hold a track you want to use as your ringtone.
2. Tap Use as ringtone.

Tip: You can also add the track that is currently playing as a ringtone. Press the Menu key and tap Use as ringtone.
