Connect to a Wi-Fi ® network

To connect to a WLAN via Wi-Fi®:

  1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings.
  3. Mark the Wi-Fi checkbox.
  4. Available Wi-Fi® networks are displayed in a list under Wi-Fi networks. The available networks may be open or secured. This is indicated by the icon next to the network name.
  5. Tap a Wi-Fi® network to connect to it. If you are trying to connect to a secured Wi-Fi® network, you are asked to enter the security key for that Wi-Fi® network before you can connect to it. The Wi-Fi® connection is displayed in the status bar once you are connected.

Useful tip:

  • To scan for Wi-Fi® networks manually, press the Menu key and tap Scan. The phone scans for Wi-Fi® networks and displays them in the Wi-Fi networks section.
  • To find your phone MAC address, press the Menu key and tap Advanced to view your MAC address.
