Set screen unlock pattern

Secure your data by using a screen unlock pattern every time your phone is turned on or every time it is activated from sleep mode.

To create a screen unlock pattern:

  1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings > Location & security > Set unlock pattern.
  2. Follow the instructions in your phone.
  3. To change the screen unlock pattern, tap Change unlock pattern and follow the instructions.
  4. To disable a screen unlock pattern, unmark the Require pattern checkbox and draw the pattern you’ve already confirmed.

Note: If you fail to draw your screen unlock pattern accurately five times on the screen, wait 30 seconds and then try again.
