What is 3D photos and 3D album?

The 3D camera helps you take wide-angle, panoramic photos that capture more of the scene and add depth to the subject. 3D Sweep Panorama photos can be played back on a TV that supports 3D. In Sweep Multi Angle mode, the camera takes several images at different angles as you sweep across the scene. When you tilt the camera during playback, the camera sensor detects motion and displays the image in a 3D-like view on the camera screen.You can view and play all photos taken with your 3D camera in 3D Album. You can also play photos that you have taken using Sweep Multi Angle mode and view them from multiple angles.

To activate the 3D Camera

  • From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon, then find and tap the 3D camera icon.

To take a photo in 3D Sweep Panorama mode

  1. Activate the 3D camera.
  2. Tap the icon on the top left of the screen, then select 3D Sweep Panorama if it is not already selected.
  3. Press the camera key halfway down to lock the focus.
  4. Press the camera key fully down, then pan the camera from left to right in a steady horizontal movement.

To take a photo in a Sweep Multi Angle mode

  1. Activate the 3D camera.
  2. Tap the icon on the top left of the screen, then select Sweep Multi Angle.
  3. Press the camera key halfway down to lock the focus.
  4. Press the camera key fully down, then pan the camera from left to right in a steady horizontal movement.

To view your 3D photos in 3D Album

  1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
  2. Find and tap 3D Album.
  3. Tap a 3D photo.
  4. Flick left to view the next 3D photo in 3D Album. Flick right to view the previous 3D photo.

To play a 3D photo in 3D Album

  1. Open the 3D photo. If no controls are displayed, tap the screen.
  2. Tap the Play icon.

Note: You can only play 3D photos that have been captured in the standard panorama image size.

To view multi-angle photos in 3D Album

  1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
  2. Find and tap 3D Album.
  3. Tap the Sweep Multi Angle icon. All multi-angle photos are displayed.
  4. Tap a photo, then tilt the phone right or left to view the photo from different angles.
