Backup, import and send contacts

When you back up your contacts to a memory card, they are saved as a vCard (.vcf) file. Insert the memory card in another phone and import the contacts to that phone. You can also send your contacts via Bluetooth™ technology or messaging services, such as text message or email.

To back up contacts using a memory card:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Contacts.
3. Press the Menu key, then tap Back up contacts > Memory card > OK.

To import contacts using a memory card:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Contacts.
3. Press the Menu key, then tap Import contacts > Memory card.
4. If needed, select what account the contacts should be created in and synchronised with, for example a Google™ account. If you save the contacts as Phone contacts, they will only be used in the phone and not be synchronised.
5. If needed, select if you want to import one or more vCard files from the memory card.
6. If needed, select the desired backup or backups from the list showing different backup batches of all phone contacts, with the corresponding dates for when they were created.

To send contacts via Bluetooth™ technology, email or text message:

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
2. Find and tap Contacts.
3. Press the Menu key, then tap Send contacts.
4. Select the contacts you want to send, or tap Mark all to select all contacts. Then tap Send > OK.
5. Tap the application you want to use to share the selected contacts. The selected application opens with the vCard file attached to a new message.
