Enable GPS

Use your phone to find out where you are. There are two methods: GPS or wireless networks. It’s best to enable the wireless networks option if you only need your approximate location, and want it fast. If you want a more exact position, and have a clear view of the sky, enable the GPS option.

To enable GPS:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
  2. Find and tap Settings > Location & security.
  3. Mark the Use GPS satellites checkbox.
  4. If consent, tap Agree.

Note: You may incur data traffic charges when using this service or feature. Contact your network operator if you need detailed information about your subscription plan and data traffic costs.

Tip: The first time you use GPS it can take between 5 and 10 minutes for your location to be found. Make sure you have a clear view of the sky. If the phone can’t find your location using GPS, you can enable the wireless networks option. This way you get your approximate location.

To enable wireless networks:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Application screens icon.
  2. Find and tap Settings > Location & security.
  3. Mark the Use wireless networks checkbox.
  4. If consent, tap Agree.
